(...) What did you use to cut the pieces? ;-) J-2 knows cutting LEGO pieces is a pet peeve of mine. In lugnet.trains.org, John Neal writes: <snip> Both the brown AND the tan buildings are VERY nice. I especially like the sloped window sills in the brown one. But why is the post to trains.org? Worse, why aren't at least the FUT pointing away? I set (...) (23 years ago, 15-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.general)

  New Building (brown)

Below is a pic of a plain old brown stone building. I started this one right after the brown bulk bricks became available, but it took a long time to collect enough of the brown arches to complete. I must say that I have really becoming a fan of (...) (23 years ago, 15-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.general)

  Re: New building (Tan)

(...) Thanks. That's high praise coming from a couple of guys whom I consider to be truly amazing builders! You make me laugh with the 5 finger hinge question-- I am only aware of it in one set. It took at least a half a year of searching to (...) (23 years ago, 15-Sep-01, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.arch, lugnet.general)

  Re: New building (Tan)

I saw this on brickshelf earlier and felt it to be one of the best buildings I've ever seen. The level of detail is great as is the color combinations. The numerous different types of bricks used on the facing give an excellent sense of texture and (...)
