I appologise for the way I handled the 9v trains idea book idea.

I appologise for the way I handled the 9v trains idea book idea, and not thinking of the poor sods using macs etc. I was in a hurry and said some stuff the wrong way. Here is what I am going to say about the book. Everything else I said before is (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

So where is everyone at? What is the new LEGO Train Fan site

My son is finally old enough to begin to play with LEGO trains and this holiday season we took out my old 9v trains. He is still a bit rough on the play with them (age 6) and I cringe every time he runs the trains hard/fast around the tracks since I (...) (11 years ago, 27-Dec-13, to lugnet.trains)

  Switching from 4,5V to 9V

Hi there, is there any brick - or has anyone "build" one - which allows to connect 4,5V tracks to 9V tracks? (I first got a shock when I saw the 9V tracks...) Even so: Has anyone experience in tuning up 4,5V tracks to allow 9V trains to go on it - (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

Remote controlled 9V points by using 12V remotes

Hi guys! This weekendI was looking at my newly optained 9V switches and my older 12 automatic switches, and I think that it might be possible to use the 12V swithcing unit to control a 9V point. 1. it seems to me that the "stick" moves the same (...) (24 years ago, 9-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Running trains in cold weather

Hi Has anyone ever had issues running thier 9v trains out in the winter weather in a covered area? I have concerns that the cold may affect the motors and track. Did anyone have a good experience running trains in the cold weather? I did see the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Thanks for your help! I know that Sonnich says that you can mix the track. Well, nothing personal, but I really do not like the looks of the 12V track. 9V looks very realistic in my opinion.
