I haven't tried this, yet, but Jerome Teissier's City Liner bus

gives me thoughts of trying to build a light rail city tram like this

I see 1x4x5 tall windows used for the side windows.  Not sure how this tram-set
would work out, but maybe inspiration for you, as well, to try to build one.
