Though I would share with you the current state of Metro Terminus

Wow! That is amazing, even for a teaser. VERY nice work, even incomplete. Some
questions:

- That's a lot of train shed for only 4 tracks... any chance to rearrange
platforms (maybe with narrower platforms) to squeeze 6 in? Zurich hauptbahnhof
has I think 12 tracks across. Even with selective compression, it's a shame
not to scrape up a way to get to 6. (sith infiltrator has lots of plates in
it... ;-) )

Obviously thats a possibility. However, I had planned on putting stuff on the
platforms. Its probably not obvious on the picture, but half way down each
platform there is already a staircase going down to the subway/underground
(giving commuters direct access, like my mainline station - London Waterloo).
Also going to put some huts for station workers, perhaps a little buffet
servery, a waiting room etc. (ps Waterloo has 23 parallel platforms, including
the 4 for Eurostar!)

- NEAT idea on the curved baseplates for the shed roof. By chance did you get
lucky and the curve matches the outer rail from grey track so you can build
some kind of curved truss? That would be so cool. Right now it looks kind of,
well, unsupported. What about the ZNAP red curved pieces?

I have worked on a design in technic using axles and toggles. Trouble is it
needs zillions of them. Though I am collecting them via auction/whatever, so I
hope to gradually replace the current use of technic beams with something that
looks more the part, and can more easily be built into a curve to line the
roof. For now, had to put the beams across to stop the roof pushing the sides
out.

I also considered a Millennium Dome approach. i.e. large towers supporting the
roof with cables. Might try it.

Also the glass roof is a real possibility. I have lots of black frame windows
on order, and have many already. But was planning on using those for an office
block

lawrence
