4561 is a pretty good deal, considering the parts in it.

I was thinking about the price of the Railway Express. Was it really worth
$159 CAN, as it is in the catalogues? You really just have to look at the
parts in it-
A speed regulator, Lego sells these for $55.00
Sixteen curved rails, which would cost $37.50
There is $92.50, and I haven't looked at the train itself yet.
The train's motor, $39.00
$131.50 for the speed regulator, rails and motor. But there are still over 500
other parts, and the set costs just $30 more than these special parts.
Eight wheelsets, $19.00
Four bogieplates, $6.50
Three sets of buffers, magnets and couplers, $14.25
You can see, there is a ton of expensive parts here. The parts I mentioned
total $171.25! To custom build a train is extremely expensive if done by S@H!
Plus you get two train car plates, quite a few blue windows, a bunch of blue
1x2 grooved bricks, the white sloped roof pieces, seven red chairs, twelve
small white car wheels, around eighteen 1x4 flat plates in various colours, a
road platform, and other useful stuff. This set has 8 figures, when five
figures can sell for $10. Even if you hate the main model and just buy this
set for parts, its cheaper than the parts that are in it.
