My latest interest has been in doing "something" to revive my own interest in
running my LEGO train set #7740 yellow/red passenger train.

The result was to try to build a different likeness of the locomotive after
which I think LEGO originally modeled this train set:  The DB103.

"In real life", this train set is more tan than yellow, but....

(...) Absolutley stunning. I really like the way you captured the solidness of this engine. I think it's because of the great use of rounded edges on both the top, front and back. This engine really brings the 7740 alive. I may have to attempt a (...) (25 years ago, 5-Apr-00, to lugnet.trains)
