(...) Well, actually, if you battery or RCX power your 9V motor, you can run it on 4.5V track... If I was converting from 4.5V to 9V, I would just abandon all the 4.5V track, and go all 9V track. The 4.5V motors should run just fine on the 9V track (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)
