Hi All,

Has anyone used mindstorms to control a dual reverse loop circuit?  You would
need to block three sections of track (for two reverse loops).  Sensors could
detect the presence of the train on the loop section and reverse the polarity
on the main line accordingly.

Has anyone tried this?

For those not familiar, a dual reverse loop circuit looks something like:

  __             __
/  \           /  \
|    \         /    |
\____\_______/____/

I'd really like to do this, because I have a long narrow lego room and this
would allow me to have a small layout in two corners and connect the two with
a narrow shelf along the wall with a single line of track.

Does it sound feasible?

Seems to me somebody document the creation of a Lego reverse loop on the web.
Does anyone know the site?

Thanks for your ideas and info.

btw:  I completed an Amtrak Metroliner passenger car that does not use any
window bricks. Much more prototypical then the club car.  I'll try to get a
picture of it up later today.

The switchback is on Matt Bates' Train Depot.

The actual page is here:

Any chance you will LDraw your monstrous steam loco, the 4-8-4 one?  I love
that thing, but have never seen the original.  I suppose if yours is a model,
mine would be a model of a model.  :-)
