This year, The Puget Sound Lego Train Club (PSLTC) was asked to be the main model railroad layout for the fair. The layout was a great success and thanks goes out to all of the members and all of the people who helped out with staffing. Pictures: (2 (...)   Customizing the 7897 Passenger Train: Danish IC4, version 3

Hey, Bought the 7897 Passenger Train the other day and immediately realized that it would take only a few modifications to turn the German ICE-like design into the Danish IC4 passenger train.   Re: BayLTC @ Great Train Expo, San Jose

(...) That is correct. James made some new instructions after seeing Ross's version and I built it. You can see James' instructions and pictures of the trolleys I built here (URL) (18 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf.sj, lugnet.org.us.baylug, FTX)

(...) Hello, Jonathan- This version looks very close to (URL) Ross' riff> on James Mathis' design. History (URL) HERE>. JOHN (18 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf.sj, lugnet.org.us.baylug, FTX)

Re: BayLTC @ Great Train Expo, San Jose

(...) I think it's a James Mathis design, built by Bruce Chamberlain. But I might have that mixed up with another trolley. If it is a Mathis then you can probably get the plans from him. (URL) (18 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf.sj, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

  Re: IR train base alternative

(...) Actually a typical bridge rectifier will drop ~1.4 volts in the supply. That's alot! About a 16% drop in voltage, and a 29% drop in overall power at the top end. I'm not sure what effect this would have on the control circuitry. Mat (18 years ago, 27-Sep-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.parts.custom, lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)
