Which items have problems clearing the side of the overhead crane? (That
is, assuming that you are using models as originally released or their
alternates, and not MOCs!)
I had this problem with a few train cars (in either standard configuration
or in alternate models), and solved it by adding either one piece of
straight (and shifting the track on the road plate 1/2 track) or two pieces
of straight track to make a longer approach.
On the other hand, if you've created something special and wider, this
trick may not work.
