Hi all,

1 British Class 156 in Northern Livery

Having recently gained myself a digital camera I finally took pictures of one of the few trains I’ve designed that don’t have a full CAD version made. It’s my rendition of a Northern Rail (the newest and biggest passenger rail operator in the UK) Class 156 DMU commuter train. A picture of the real thing in this version of the livery can be found here.

Credit goes to someone from Brickish for the idea to use the plate 1x2 with rail plates for the squelchy nose bit on each end of the DMU. Sorry I can’t remember who it was but to whoever you are, nice trick.

THe folder can be found here and I hope to make an MOC page for it soon.

1 Manchester Metrolink tram

My second model is of Manchester Metrolink tram. It was dismantled a few weeks ago (in part for the medium blue to make the 156) but I was fortunate enough to have Tim David over with a camera before that to capture it. These trams form part of the light rail system in Manchester and run both on the street and also on old train track depending on the area. They are the same make as the Turin trams which have been modelled much more accurately in eight-wide before. Real thing.

And the folder is here. These pics have been up for a while but I never wrote anything about them before.

Sorry that my camera work is so awful. Please let me know what you think.

Tim
