(...) Eggliners are a good joke... But to me, they do NOT capture the essence of a train car. There is a place you have to know where to stop compressing and they went TOO far. (...) Agreed. Part of the skill (and fun) in building anything real in Lego is to leave in what is essential to the character and leave out what you can get away with to ensure functionality. In this example Steve has used compression pretty well, its not as a compressed as a Lego designed train but he has managed to chop a considerable amount out without it looking 'wrong' (...)
