Hello everyone!
As many people know, I have a model of Tech Tower from Georgia Tech. One of the
cool traditions about Tech Tower is the act of Stealing the T from the group
of letters on the top of the tower. Many attempts have been made over the
years, and for some fairly obvious reasons the school administration has been
increasingly vigilant in protecting the T and stopping these attempts.
Anyway, the neat thing about a model is you can recreate an event without
getting arrested. Since my wife (who was the one who went to Tech in our
family) never got to steal the T, I thought I would make a little story about
a (ficticious) T stealing attempt out of Lego.
Ok, I actually didnt think that hard about it. The Tower was being displayed
on a NELUG layout at the recent Greenburg Show in
Wilmington, MA. In order to make the time a bit more entertaining, and to
practice my camera skills, I decided to shoot this lego caper.
Anyway, the full story is up on MOCpages http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/6690
and the photos themselves are in the usual place:

Also, in case you are interested, the Greenburg Show was a hit for other reasons
besides my little vignette. (Actually, I think only a few people noticed it at
the show!) We had automation in all corners of the layout, a helicopter, a
crane, out usual stunning fairgrounds, and a point-to-point trolley, not to
mention the automated train-gates.
While I am sure there will be a write-up on the NELUG
website soon, you can look through my pictures of the event here:

some here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=109239, and he has
some of his movies posted there as well.
