For Russell - once moderated, my new pictures of Thomas and Friends are in my
Brickshelf gallery:
Theres Thomas himself, with Annie and Clarabel (okay, the two-axle TV versions
of Annie and Clarabel) and Percy.
For look-alike real engines, theres a Great Western 0-6-0T Pannier Tank - the
model for Duck; and an LMS 0-6-0 Class 4F Fowler - the model for James, though
in dark rather than bright red. The Bluebell Railway A1X Class (or Stroudley
Terrier) No. 55 really is called Stepney.
Ive added a picture of the wheelbase shared by Thomas and Stepney, and exploded
views of the faces on Thomas and Percy. Note that both faces have half-plate
protusions on the rear that are buried in the front of the boiler for neatness.
This is harder with the smaller, more elaborate face on Percy.
