As a work avoidance project I decided to rebuild one of my loco's in 7 wide.
Why 7 wide? Cause I'm a wild and crazy guy. :) Actually the real reason was
the SNOT'd windshield I used on the 6 wide. Its a little big for 6 wide and a
little small for 8 wide. That, and I thought the challenge of 7 wide would be,
well..challenging.
The roof of the cab is actually 8 wide on top of the 7 wide hood, thanks to some
jumper plates. Jumper plates were also used to center the technic plates for
the trucks and to center the weight bricks as well.
The added beef of 7 wide was a cool project and I may yet try an 8 wide.
