Train Width Question

Has anyone tried to make a train car 8 studs across? I was thinking this
would be a pretty cool idea for a working Hogwarts train.  On the left side
of the train, you have the wall, and like the santa fe, the windows have
elbow space, as does the dividers.  So you have say, 2 chairs, and they are
facing each other (this is just for one little part of the car) and you have
a four stud area for a passage way.  The passage could bend and go to the
middle for the train car connection bricks.
