Re: Free Shipping over $99 at S@H

(...) I noticed this a while back and gave Jake a heads-up; he forwarded it to their web team to look at. The problem is with any discount code; it will only apply discounts from that one, and not others. That may well be on purpose, to prevent some (...)   Re: Free Shipping over $99 at S@H

(...) Quick update - I ran into the problem again on the website and realized that all orders were experiencing problems applying discount codes with the >$99 free shipping deal. I was messing with session cookies at the time I posted above, and may (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: 4535 - MOT Set at ToysRUs.com

I hope that this does not mean that 4535 is the retail replacement for the current 4561. But the packaging is sharp. I suspect it is the new standard flip open box with smaller boxes inside. As much as I like the My Own Train series, I was hoping (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Inferior bricks in 10025

I think they are actually a different formulation of ABS than the standard. I built mine Thurs evening after eating dinner. They certainly are nice kits, and I REALLY like the fact that you can carefully fit 2 built cars into one box and close it (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Please sign my train guestbook

Hi fellow trainers: Sorry to bother you with this, but I was hoping train people would sign my Weblog's guestbook: (URL) some interesting (at least I hope it is) train related stuff on it to look at - including my review of the 10020 Santa Fe Super (...)   Inferior bricks in 10025

I was building my new 10025's, just delivered today, and notice the bricks, (URL) are poorly molded. They are softer and not nearly as crisply molded as the other bricks. They are not what I expect from Lego. Just a thought. Bert Waters (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

  4535 - MOT Set at ToysRUs.com

Hi all, Did I miss an anouncement? Kinda suprised no-one else has seen this yet, but toysRUs.com have a new LEGO train set - 4535 available for $180. It looks pretty much like the KTR02 set that LEGO S@H do, except it has extra pieces AND MINIFIGS! (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New MOCs: hoppers, cars, microtank

(...) Yep. The mutilation is not the tubing cutting, it is in taking the wheel off the car steering wheel part as the nub on the base is heat formed to hold the wheel on, it's not intended to be removed. But that wheel is so useful, I heartily (...) (22 years ago, 13-Sep-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Re: New MOCs: hoppers, cars, microtank

(...) Ah, but that's the softer pneumatic pipes, not the harder flex-system tubing. (Although they could be the same now, as I haven't seen a pneumatic set since they introduced double-acting cylinders). Jason J Railton (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Re: New MOCs: hoppers, cars, microtank

(...) Some Technic sets require the cutting of flex tubing. This page of Set 8459 - Pneumatic Front End Loader instructions shows what the various lengths are needed to cut the long pieces included in the box into: (URL) Bob (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Pictures and video from Mini-LEGO-Fests 2000 uploaded

Hello everybody, Now that I figured a way to quickly build those nice three-level web albums from my digital photos, I thought I would put up some more pictures. This batch isn't exactly fresh off the press (actually 2 years old) but still (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.loc.de, lugnet.loc.it, lugnet.trains)

Re: New MOCs: hoppers, cars, microtank

(...) Oh...Perfect!!! Now I know what to do with my future freight cars. (...) I'm assuming this is from the older (early 90s) sets? I've never seen an instruction booklet with that. They've always been at the right lengths right out of the box. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Re: Free Shipping over $99 at S@H

Can anyone tell me if the train catalog code is for *any* five train cars, or if it is just for 10022 and 10025. Thank you! James (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New MOCs: hoppers, cars, microtank

(...) Mutilating is such a harsh word;-) What he actually did was to simply remove the wheel from the car steering wheel element and attached it onto a section of flexible technic tubing. We need a ruling as to whether or not that constitutes (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Signals: a new design, for everyone to build

As a follow-up to Thomas Burger's signal-design: herewith a modern one, as seen on the railwaystation from Nijmegen-the Netherlands. I've build it (compleet in black), but the real-life-Lego pics come tomorrow. Low batteries... :-( This one follows (...) (22 years ago, 12-Sep-02, to lugnet.trains)

  New MOCs: hoppers, cars, microtank

Ross has been at it again: (URL) yellow hopper is modeled after an HO Peabody hopper that was given to Ross as a boy-- he carried it everywhere. Then he built red and black versions.
