Thanks

just to make sure - the measuremets should be so in metric ?

Height  15' 4.5   4686 mm (4.7 meters)
Length   67' 3  20497 mm (20,5 meters)
Width   10'2.7    3116 mm (3.11 meters)

Where to get information about the size of the drivers cab etc?

The 'net;-)

Seriously, I really doubt that you need such specific data, unless you were
planning on building even larger than miniland scale, but certainly not if you
are going to build 6 wide.

You are highly constrained by brick dimensions-- use the scale of the bricks.
That is what I do.  For example, no matter how acccurate your mearurements are,
you are still locked into a set wheel size and, in the case of the 9 volt train
motor, locked into wheel spacing.  So use those dimensions, as well as other
"givens" (window size, textured brick size, etc) and compare them to schematics
or pics.  Let the bricks tell you what should be what size (if you listen
carefully enough, you will hear them requesting to be built into something 8
wide;^)

Good luck!
