| Scott- May I suggest going to Matt's LEGO Train Depot: (URL) , where you will find a wealth of info on your new purchase, including the answer to your question, which is that the blue track was available from 1966-1980; the gray track from (...) (26 years ago, 30-Jul-99, to lugnet.trains)
