To all the steam fans out there, How big is the cab on your locomotives?
Do minifigs "operate" it?

Hi Dan,

it depends in the first line of the prototype you try to model. If it is a
product of pure phantasy, just do it the way you think it is best looking.

My favorite engine has a cab of 4x7 (length x width!), but the cabs roof is
6x6. The total length of the engine is ca. 34 studs.

But for other designs much longer driver cabs do work as well. Even for a very
short steamer of only 18 studs length a cabin of 8x6 might work as done here:

So far all my designs offer space for at least 2 minifigs, but in 2 times the
height was not sufficient to stay but only to sit inside...

But it is Lego anyway: do it as you like it.

Regards,

Ben
