  Re: Corrugated Tank Car

(...) I love this design, but I shudder at the thought of how difficult it would be to assemble all of those curved slopes. I think I have a grand total of one (from the Star Wars set with Yoda). Bruce (22 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Corrugated Tank Car

Thanks to Dave VinZant for showcasing his construction of putting the new 2x2 curves slopes nose-to-nose: (URL) put together a CAD design study of tank car using this technique: (URL) loads of this new 2x2 curved slope. later, James Mathis (22 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Rail Racers at Brickfest 2002

(...) How about two divisions, "stock Metroliner" and "custom"? Could the Rail Racer's specs be used for the custom division? Frank (22 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.trains)

Re: Rail Racers at Brickfest 2002

(...) I wonder if a train could be made that wouldn't tip over in any curve. You'd have to use some heavy duty tilting method, but still it would be tough to engineer. Sounds like something I'll have to add to my list of things to make. jt (22 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.trains)

  Micromotor Point Switcher (!)

I've been looking for a new way to do remote point switching. I wanted a system that met the following criteria: 1. Uses an unmodified point. 2. Smaller and more unobtrusive than existing designs. 3. Simple and reliable. 4. Won't tear itself apart (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.trains) !!

Re: New Interactive Game on LEGO.trains

John & All, (...) Yes, it is fun. It reminds me of the Choose Your Own Adventure books that I read when I was younger. : ) Scott S. -- (22 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.games, lugnet.trains)

Re: Rail Racers at Brickfest 2002

(...) The current thought is to use two identical "stock" locos, maybe Metroliners. The reason is to ensure that the locos actually will tip over and not just zoom around any curve. But I'm open to any ideas. (22 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.trains)

  New Interactive Game on LEGO.trains

I just came across a fun new game you might want to check out: (URL) slick, and it even worked using my Mac:-) -John (22 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.games, lugnet.trains)

Re: Rail Racers at Brickfest 2002

(...) Oooooh, can we bring our own trains for the Grand Prix? Are there any standards or regulations on the types of trains? jt (22 years ago, 7-Jun-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.trains)
