Hi,
While converting my 7755 (heavy diesel shunter) to 9V I was disappointed by the
loss of the two matching 6 wheel assemblies. Then I noticed the small holes
on the sides of the 9V motor, right in the middle, at the level of the other
wheels. So I took off the middle wheels from the 12V motor (simply pushing
them upward does the trick) and snapped them into the holes on the 9V motor.
Although they don't match perfectly, as the electrified wheels have the
aluminum band, and the new wheels are totally black with spokes in them, the
look isn't bad. The wheels seemed to turn alright, although I am not sure
about long constant use, the friction on the plastic might deform it a bit, I
don't know.
