So much for "Backordered until March 29"...

I got home today and there was a UPS note on my door. They had tried to deliver a package from LDMI (Lego Direct Marketing, Inc.) and I wasn't home. That could be nothing other than the 3 Super Chiefs I ordered Monday morning from the website, at (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: No. A0001 has been registred (Re: Santa Fe Super Chief Train Engine Registry)

(...) Hm, I don't know about Netscape, but it still just plain doesn't load in IE 5.5 on Win2000- on either address. It may be a firewall problem on my end, though. When I run it through another server to fetch it, it works fine. Unfortunately, (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

Larry Pieniazek wrote in message ... (...) Yep, you got it. Class is A4, a Pacific (4-6-2) wheel arrangement, Mallard was the engine which took the world steam speed record of 126 mph in in 1938 IIRC. Designed by Sir Nigel Gresley for the LNER. Here (...)   Re: No. A0001 has been registred (Re: Santa Fe Super Chief Train Engine Registry)

Thanks Bill for pointing that out, I'll try and update it this evening. I've come down with the flu (or more like my son gave me the flu) so I'm a little slow at working on it this week. jt (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: No. A0001 has been registred (Re: Santa Fe Super Chief Train Engine Registry)

(...) I get a blank page on Netscape 4.78 on Windows 2000. I think the problem is a missing </FRAME> tag. If you directly load the page it works fine: (URL) William R Ward bill@wards.net (URL) If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

(...) As of 11:15 on Feb 22, the registry page does nto appear under Netscape 4.76 under Windows. The asp won't load. Is this done by design? Paul S (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10020 limited to 10000 sets or not?

(...) He said "Decent" not "Cute"... every club should have a Thomas(tm) but that doesn't mean I want LEGO(r) to dump effort into licensing it. Na, give us an A4 Mallard(1) (think of the compound curved pieces for that one!!!) 1 - check me on that, (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

Re: 10020 limited to 10000 sets or not?

(...) Personally, I don't think 10000 is all that limited. I mean, even after Larry's placed his order[1] there'll still be plenty to go around. What production run would you expect of a set like this? I'm not a huge fan of forced 'collectibility', (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Buffers

Using the responses, I've been able to check out the sets on Brickshelf; I'm not surprised I missed them first time round! Judging by the lack of other train related pieces in the box, I guess they are likely to have been sold as the single items (...) (23 years ago, 21-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)
