Santa Fe Super Chief (Was: Surprise, new train set)

(...) Dan Siskind solved that problem-- he used 2 little Adventurer's windshields (only works with 8 wide designs:-) I'm not sure where some pics of it may be though.... -John (...) (23 years ago, 9-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Surprise, new train set

I'm really curious to see how they model the front of this engine, there just doesn't seem to be a really good true "LEGO" way to get the "puppy dog eyes" look of this engine in LEGO. (...) (23 years ago, 9-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Surprise, new train set

Doesn't it strike anyone else as odd that this VERY American set shoud show up at S@H in all of these other countries first, but not in the US? Not that I'm saying that it won't be here or anything, just pointing out the humor (?) in the situation. (...) (23 years ago, 9-Feb-02, to lugnet.trains)
