I started this MOC over a year ago and *finally* finished him last night! And
I'm glad I waited because I made some great improvements from the original
design.
First, how about that color match with the new sand red!!!! We have a metal
Bill/Ben push train, and the colors are *exactly* the same. I previously was
going to use tan... I am pleased with how he turned out.
Secondly, I procured some Thomas faces and plopped them on my MOCs for the first
time. The redux of Thomas is just the right size; the second Thomas face that
sits on the Bill/Ben character is a wee big. I still need to "sticker them up",
but I think the kids will get a big kick out of seeing faces...:-)
As far as Thomas goes, I redid him to include a doorway opening. I am resigned
to using the red 4.5 volt train plate which is too short and using the
incorrectly configured 9 volt motor (0-4-0 vs 0-6-0). He looks cute (which is
what it is all about), but I wish we had some larger wheels with which to
build:-/
I have also finally finished my EMD SW1500 projects (2 color schemes, with 3
more to come), but I still need to photograph them. I *love* the way they
turned out, but you'll have to wait a while;-)

| John - That's great work! The sand red is an excellent match. Nice job on the buffers. Three questions - how's the stability of the cab of Bill/Ben, as it looks like it hangs off the rear of the engine quite a bit are the faces from the HO versions (...)
