The trains section on LEGO.com inspired me to try my hand at a stockcar.
Here is the result:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=72969
I believe this is the first time I have used LDRAW to design something
that I planned on building. I am curious to see how this builds in real
life.
Some notes:
-this model uses the fence pieces that came in
http://guide.lugnet.com/set/6318 a few years ago.
-All parts used in the model have been produced in these colors (ok- i'm
not sure about a 6x6 brown plate)
-the doors really open and close (I'm not sure who to credit for the
mechanism (I think it may be Tom Cook?)
-i think i may be able to do some diagonal bracing on the sides, but I
can't be sure till it's been physically built.
-yes, it is 8wide!
