The three roundhouse tracks and the turntable each have separate leads
(can't have locos moving in concert) and thus take one switch each. Color
coding is used to tell which switch controls what. The 5th switch is the
turntable motor itself. (motor is housed in the red house mounted on the
side of the turntable)
This has the drawback that you cannot turn the table an indefinite number of
rotations or your power leads get tangled. But it does make for a shallower
installation.
