   Ah, now since one stud is exactly 2 1/2 plates, a 1/5 stud offset is equivalent to half a plate. That's equivalent to the indentation on the face of a headlight brick, or the height of its base lip, or the 1x4 face of one of those 1x2-1x4 brackets. (...)
