  World Record LEGO Bridge

Just to clarify a few details about the World Record LEGO Bridge. It is, as far as I know, a World Record length of bridge span - officially measured (with guidance from a bridge engineer) at 16 feet 10 inches. The bridge has been called a (...)   Re: Questions about train details

(...) (US practice) Back marker lights are typically always red I think. However for passenger trains there are a number of light colors that may be used as "marker lights". Which are which is escaping me. Green to denote "extra" (non scheduled) and (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Wreck

(...) Oh boy, can we relate to THAT picture! Except when trains derail on the GMLTC layout, they usually end up falling three feet to the floor. At one show, I was finding pieces to my locomotive underneath the layout next to ours! Dang - now I'm (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

How many ambassador cars did you get?

Hi, and wow. The long shots reveal just how impressive the PNLTC layout really was. I am curious about the number of ambassador cars that ran at the display. Can you estimate how long, in feet, inches, or meters etc., the ambassador train was? By (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: PNLTC breaks guiness record!

(...) John It took roughly 30 minutes to run the ~3343 feet of the layout. We maintained a fairly regular speed thru that - hit a few slow spots when we slowed to a crawl. I think we had 6 controllers - each connected to 2-3 track locations - and (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Added Instructions to Website

I've recently added instructions to build my wagontop box car. Please check it out at: (URL) . In order to reduce the weight, the instructions differ slightly from the model I built, so if anyone notices any flaws please let me know. If you have any (...)   Re: PNLTC breaks guiness record!

(...) What did you use to power the track? Experience shows that a standard LEGO train regulator wouldn't do the job. How does that affect the record qualifications? KL (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: PNLTC breaks guiness record!

  Re: PNLTC breaks guiness record!

(...) Actually that is it, 3343 feet of one continuous run, after which we switched (moved track around) over to about 28 separate lines, now that looked cool having that many trains running a once. :-) I think the longest loop at that point was (...) (24 years ago, 21-Aug-00, to lugnet.trains)
