Re: Question for the electronics experts

(...) I usually put motor(s) on blue, and lights on red. So each channel controls one train. I'm mostly concerned with all the kids who bring "guest trains", I want to make sure they can run their trains without interfering with ours. JohnG, GMLTC (10 years ago, 10-Feb-15, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Question for the electronics experts

(...) But each channel has 2 separate controls, red & blue, so you can control up to 8 trains without resorting to modifications, as long as each only uses 1 output. ROSCO (10 years ago, 10-Feb-15, to lugnet.trains)

  Question for the electronics experts

Anyone know if it is possible to hack the Power Functions remotes & receivers to operate on a different 'band'? GMLTC is working on plans for our next club layout, and we might have seven operating loops. If we are running PF trains, we'll have some (...) (10 years ago, 3-Feb-15, to lugnet.trains)

  ME Models Custom Rails

As you may or may not be aware, ME Models has started a KickStarter campaign in order to further the development of not only metal rails for use with 9V systems, but also ABS plastic rails with additional curve radii. ME Models is looking for your (...) (11 years ago, 21-Apr-14, to lugnet.trains) !!

Re: Exploring a new track radius

(...) We actually looked into that and found that the conductivity wasn't uniform across the entire piece. -Eric (11 years ago, 21-Apr-14, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Exploring a new track radius

(...) There are a few inherent issues with "flex track". Tying it into the current system, safety since metal rails can be sharp, Transporting the segments exc. Making just the ties was my initial idea too (apparently for other people as well) but (...) (11 years ago, 20-Jan-14, to lugnet.trains)

  Exploring a new track radius

Quite a few of us in the community have wanted a new track radius for a very very long time. When we were in the 9v era the argument against it given was the metal rails would be too expensive. Now that we are in the RC era and the track is plastic (...) (11 years ago, 19-Jan-14, to lugnet.trains)
