Re: Soo Line GP9 and a Tanker

Wow, great work on the tanker, seriously. I admit I had to think about the "viking wheels" for a minute since I completely missed (sort of) the viking line and was simply unaware of these parts. They sure fit perfectly for this use. Great idea. (...) (16 years ago, 3-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: S@H Sale

Re: Soo Line GP9 and a Tanker

(...) Thanks Benn. The row of 1x4 bricks with 4 studs on their sides above the "SOO" prevent me from dropping the exhaust stacks down a plate. Perhaps I could replace a few of them with 1x2 technic pins with 2 holes and pin them in place with (...) (16 years ago, 2-Jul-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Soo Line GP9 and a Tanker

(...) The cab windows might be from REC, but the rest of it is all you. Both are very nice builds. The GP is clearly the next refinement in your Soo locomotive roster (all of that snot has to give you a headache). You are very stubborn to get that (...)   Soo Line GP9 and a Tanker

Here is a Soo Line GP9 and a US tanker car I recently built. The GP9 is very similar to my (URL) Burlington Northern GP9> but the cab is much different.   Re: Long time away, new layout in making

Carl, Going to give you a photography tip. Your digital camera probably has a "macro" feature. The function of the macro is to photograph items closer than roughly 25-30" (under 65 cm). You'll find any close up pictures should be taken with the (...) (16 years ago, 27-Jun-08, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Long time away, new layout in making

(...) Nice trains. Hopefully we will see them at an event/display soon. BTW Brickish is very expensive - you'll be paying a lot of money. Not the membership fee (which is small) but from the many opportunities, that being a part of the UK (...) (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Long time away, new layout in making

Re: Long time away, new layout in making

Hi David, Thanks for your reply. There is an IR train in there aswell, so I have all 3 variants mixed together with a total of 12 engines so far :) They all have their own attributes but I do prefer the 12v over all. I'm afraid I'm not yet a member (...) (16 years ago, 26-Jun-08, to lugnet.trains)
