Re: Where have the axels gone?

(...) I've got a theory on this - and you're welcome to test it! First, you can still order a train wheel axle by creating an LDD model of the train wheel set and ordering it (kind of silly, but it works). If you do this, LDD will report that the (...) (17 years ago, 29-May-08, to lugnet.trains)

  Where have the axels gone?

Does anyone know where the axel element for the trin wheels on the shop@home PAB have gone? Can you still get them? Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers. (17 years ago, 28-May-08, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Blue Mountain & Reading #425

(...) Nice build, I like the detailing under the running boards on the engineer's side. I saw the flickr comment on the pilot. One idea might be to flip the mech arms upside down (so they bend upward) in the middle of the pilot and/or at the (...) (17 years ago, 27-May-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Steam Engines in 3D

(...) Since you have the steam engines and the turn table, looks like you should start building your roundhouse now (grin). Benn (17 years ago, 27-May-08, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Playing with PFS

(...) I'll trade you one of my hoppers for one of yours (grin). Seriously though, good to see the batteries so well hidden in a car. Though I think with all of that weight from the batteries, it would be good to also get a motor under the car and (...) (17 years ago, 27-May-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: Blue Mountain & Reading #425

(...) Wow, thanks much! I don't think I'm deserving of such high praise, but I appreciate it. I'd have never gotten into the train hobby had it not been for Ben and his BBB Wheels. --Tony (17 years ago, 25-May-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Blue Mountain & Reading #425

(...) Thanks much! My decals are Photo Sticker Paper, available at Office Depot. It's a pain in the butt to peel the backs off the stickers, since you have to cut your own custom sizes without pre-set perforations, but worth it. Things aren't (...)   Re: Playing with PFS

(...) Great work combining components generally considered awkward into small, aesthetically pleasing wagons. Spotlighted! Thanks for sharing Cheers Richie Dulin CO Legeaux (17 years ago, 25-May-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Playing with PFS

Hi all, I happened to locate my PFS parts last night and decided to have a play around incorporating the battery box and sensor into standard carriage designs. Here's my results.   Re: Blue Mountain & Reading #425

(...) As with other trains of yours, this one transcends the line between train and work of art. I just think it's great! Models like this one are a clear reminder of why the LEGO Train hobby is so great! (as are BBB wheels) Very nice work! -Jordan (17 years ago, 23-May-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Blue Mountain & Reading #425

(...) Just beautiful Tony! Your decals are great as well; are they just sticker paper? I'm still hoping that I get to see this in person at Brickworld! -Jeramy (17 years ago, 23-May-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX)

Brisbane Lego Train Group I’ve been asked by the members of the Brisbane Lego Train Group to make regular reports on our activities on Lugnet, as was done previously, many years ago.   Re: LEGO Magnet and coupler statement.

(...) i imagine those parts will be redesigned as well. imagine a 2x2 plate with a two plate high cylinder on top. i imagine it will look something like that if they do infact redesign it. on another mildly related note, the redesigned buffers may (...)   Re: LEGO Magnet and coupler statement.

(...) magnets. Does that imply that TLG will stop using magnets in other sets? Or will the new train magnets be used more widely. I am thinking of sets like the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer etc that make extensive use of magnets. Kerry Proudly a (...) (17 years ago, 17-May-08, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.starwars)

Re: LEGO Magnet and coupler statement.

(...) In the hi-res images of the new buffers, one can see an "S"-shaped line running across the face of the magnet enclosure; it appears to be made of two halves that are then assembled and held together with a slot-and-locking tab mechanism. I (...) (17 years ago, 16-May-08, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO Magnet and coupler statement.

(...) No problem Dave. I am also quite interested to see how the magnet works and rotates in the housing. I am sure someone will dissect one eventually. I was confident that there was going to be a way for the magnet polarity to switch but it is (...) (17 years ago, 15-May-08, to lugnet.trains)
