First German Lego Train Club (FGLTC) foundet!

Hi all! The "Brunswick Three" Torsten Wernecke, Jan Weychardt and me, Ben, have foundet Germany's first Lego train club (FGLTC). We are in preparations of our next (fourth) train event, which will take place in Brunswick in the last days of this (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4561 sale at kbkids

Well, after just ordering one from KB last night, I ordered one from Toysmart after seeing this post. Mine totalled to $72.79 - there was no shipping, no tax, and 30% off the $103.98 sale price. CRUD, I KNEW this was going to happen - I promised (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.shopping)

Sneak Preview of my train creations

I was just trying out my new toy, an Olympus D-450ZOOM digital camera, and got some quick pictures of my train creations. I will be putting together a web page tomorrow (well later today), but until then, just point your browser to: (URL) pictures (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

The price at Toysmart is the same, and flamingoworld has a 30% off coupon!! + fee shipping... takes it down to about $77 each. BEAT THAT!!!! -Rob. Larry Pieniazek wrote in message <384DA0F0.FBEB8ADC@v...er.net>... (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Considering parting out 2 4561s

I am considering purchasing two 4561 Railway Expresses. I have no interest whatsoever in the train parts, so I would be either selling or auctioning all of the parts except for a few of the town-related parts. (To be honest, all I want are the (...)   Train front window.

Sets 4558 and 4559 both have black front sloped windows. Which set has a grey one of these? I recently got a grey one in a box of odds and ends and would like another one. Thanks. (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4561 sale at kbkids

(...) I picked up a 6441 just for the sake of it - I had a $5 coupon, and with shipping it was $24 - seemed like a good price, and I wanted another Divers set. -Shiri (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: 4561 sale at kbkids

Thanks for the tip. I have 4 that I got at Target that now will be going back after my KB ones arrive, unless there is someone somewhere who wants them. I doubt it would make economic sense, though. Shipping would eat up most of the savings, these (...) (25 years ago, 8-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: GMLTC shirt sighting...

(...) These are not the usual cheezy shirts either. Very solid shirt with thickweight cotton. If it was a name brand you'd be paying 40-50 for the shirt, unembroidered. I have two. Recommended. (25 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: 4561 sale at kbkids

Thanks for pointing this out! I bought 1 while they were on sale at Target. Maybe I'll pick up a second at KBKids.com. Chris (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

Duplo Trains the start of something

I was looking at the new 2000 catalog scans and noticing how much DUPLO train stuff there was (ie station, tunnel, extra cars). I don't remember there being that much stuff for DUPLO before. I wonder if this is TLC priming kids for a bigger push in (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Thanks Will, I didn't know about the 15% coupons. Wish I had used that instead of the $10.00 when I ordered the Mindstorms set last week :( The suggestion for the Toys for Tots is great.   Re: 4561 sale at kbkids

(...) It's an even better deal if you use the 15% off deal available from coupon sites like flamingoworld.com or deal-finder.com. I picked up one of these for under $90, plus I threw in another 6441 to get over $100 to pick up the Buzz (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.trains)
