Has anyone seen this? (URL) don't know if the author is aware of LEGO trains, so I've written him and pointed him here. It looks like the library might be configurable to work with LEGO geometry but I don't have time to investigate. Amy (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.trains)

I wonder if this is a caused by low track voltage? The DCC decoder does not put a steady voltage to the motor but rather pulses the motor with the duration of the pulses increasing for increasing speed.   LDCC and RCX gizmos (long)
 
I am contemplating how to integrate control of a roundhouse roundtable with control of trains using LDCC (URL). Currently the roundtable software is in NQC on an RCX and is controlled by IR messages 1, 2 and 3, which can be generated by the LEGO (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.trains)
