| | How can I tell if I have a town siren or a space siren? Are all the white ones space and the black ones town? Does anyone have a recording of either siren and the sounds it makes? (17 years ago, 10-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space)

| | | | (...) White ones can be for Space and Town; black for Town (2 URLs) A made a MP3 file with the sounds of the two sirens. (URL) (223ko) The two first sounds are Town, the two others for Space. Erik (17 years ago, 15-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, FTX)

| | | | Sirens can be US or UK sirens as well! David Simmons
|
| | | | Just my too sense: Some sirens will have a different wail. I have quite a few of them and some were obviously made for the UK (weeee-wah, weeee-wah) and some are made for the US (wee-ooo, wee-ooo, wee-ooo). Aaah, gotta love the technical jargon! :-) (...) | | | | (...) Actually, there is only one siren which plays both sounds as far as I can tell. You turn the knob on the top of the siren to change what sound is played. Thats how it is on all the sirens I have seen anyway. (17 years ago, 23-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space)
