Hello all,

I just wanted to share with you my newest Town MOC. First a little back story on
how this MOC came about. I had been messing around with making a 6 sided shape
using 2x8 plates and 1x4 hinge plates. After building several disk, I stuck some
windows in between them and made a small tower. It was only about 20 studs in
diameter. I recent got my hands on some 1x2x3 thin walls in Trans-Black. So I
decided to increase the size of the building

I didn't really like the entrance to the building all that much. Plus the
building was in need of a main floor. So I got to building again and constructed
the main floor

As you can see, it looks more like a building now. Here is a full on shot of the
building

In this picture you can see the support structure for the tower. This all sits
on tiles, as there was no way to attach it to the studs on the base plate.

Then after a meeting with some of the guys in GPLR. There was talk about getting
ride of the nasty gaps around the tower on the main floor. The general consensus
was to build a roof, then tile that so the tower could sit on it. This is the
results of that idea. Now the building tenants wont get flooded out. :P

I am also really happy on how the buildings top turned out. Its all 1x2x2
Trans-Black Thin walls.

In total the building stands at 3 1/2 feet. It is by far the largest building I
have ever built. I guesstimate that there is about 4000 bricks in this MOC.
Another side note about this building, 90% of the brick is from the Pick-A-Brick
wall. The Windows, the Lime 1x2's, the 2x8 plates, the tiles, the 4x8 plates,
and the 1x4 plate hinges all from PAB.

Thanks for checking out the MOC, let me know what you think.

(...) I love the top. Great job! I use yellow for hidden parts of my buildings too. I like the mention of PAB in your write up. Glad to see a MOC that was heavily made possible by PAB. Very nice. Jonathan (18 years ago, 23-Jun-06, to lugnet.town)
