Re: My second Town Structure Contest Entry

(...) Hi Jonathan, I was a bit iffy about the door too but I think it is quite similar to the original building. Possibly a bit of creative tweaking would have made it better but I was trying to match the original as closely as possible because I (...) (19 years ago, 15-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

Re: My second Town Structure Contest Entry

(...) Very impressive! The windows look really good and the garage door looks great too. I am also impressed with the quick turnaround time. I am wondering if the door (the people door) could be done differently? Somehow, it doesn't read as a door (...) (19 years ago, 15-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

My second Town Structure Contest Entry

Following Jonathon Lopes' discovery and (URL) of an amazing building I decided I had to build it. So here it is as an entry into Ondrew Hartigan's Town Structure Contest. (2 URLs) Big pic> (URL) angle> (URL) I avoided doing the mural because I (...) (19 years ago, 15-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

  Re: interesting windows

(...) Thanks very much, but no worries. Go for it. I am focused on a couple of other things right now and wouldn't be able to take this on anytime soon. I very much look forward to seeing your take on it. Thanks again, Tim. Jonathan (19 years ago, 15-Feb-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: interesting windows

(...) I just stole that for Ondrew's competition. If you want to use it let me know and I won't enter mine (finders keepers and all). Tim (19 years ago, 14-Feb-06, to lugnet.town)

  interesting windows

For anyone interested. . . Take a look at the 6th image down on this thread: (URL) I love the mural, but love even more the upper floor window design. The building colors are nice too. Jonathan (19 years ago, 14-Feb-06, to lugnet.town)

Re: Russell's Town Structure Contest Entries

(...) Forgot about those two stiffs; I like your entries, Russ! I really like that you've modeled from actual structures and I like your interpretations of them. Your use of color is excellent, especially with the lighthouse. Yum! They will be great (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.town, FTX)

  Russell's Town Structure Contest Entries

Here are my entries. They might not be up to the caliber of John Neal or Jonathan Lopes, but here they are anyway: (URL) first one is a brand new building called the Ng Shing Gung Temple. I took a little bit of creative liberty on the colors, but I (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.town)

(...) The timer is the poor man's remote control, it gives you 10 seconds to do whatever... (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) I feel my 6 wides are slightly beefier than most. . .with the exceptions of the subway cars which are indeed to narrow. Either way, I stil have a lot of growing to do with building trains. After all, I am (was?)a townie, trains are still new (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) You weren't looking closely enough, his BNSF locomotive is a 7 wide... (...) I was harping on him about that. I want to see him come to the NMRA in Philly, even if only what will fit on a (train) carryon... (...) I think I've convinced him to (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

--SNIP-- (...) --SNIP-- You have to chide him for building in a superior width? Very odd... Tim (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) I think I know what you mean. I tend to what to only photograph finished MOCs-- just a few great eye-popping shots that maximize the "wow" factor. The same for pics of our layout. But personally, I find "under construction" pics rather (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) I wish the tiles were old grey but bley works just fine. Tiled sidewalks are the way to go in my book. Along with tiled just about everything. Thanks for looking, posting and thanks once again for your breath of life into the town community as (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) Thanks! Ondrew's layout provided a lot of inspiration for mine. (...) Sometimes I don't know 'when' to take pictures. You know, how far along I should be before I showcase things. Lar being in town worked out great because I probably would (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Layout of Jonathan Lopes

(...) Thanks again, Lar, for the photo's, the hang, the feedback and the enthusiasm. Indeed, there will be MOC's more coming. Safe travels. Jonathan (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)
