  Re: I need some advice....

(...) How about double-sided sticky tape (or foam mounting pads) to hold the baseplates to teh table. Quick and easy. Kevin (25 years ago, 12-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: I need some advice....

(...) How about gluing "sacrificial" pieces onto the table. Green 1x6 plates, or such like (now that they are more common!) could be glued onto the table where you want to locate a baseplate. Then, take a 2x4 plate, and attach it on top of the 1x6 (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: I need some advice....

I have thought about the possibility of building such a table. Being an ex-model railroader myself, I would probably build the landscape out of plaster-coated mesh (adding paint and grass afterwards). I thought it would be a good idea to embed green (...) (25 years ago, 11-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Monorail Max Mileage?

I'd say forget the math and find the guy who did that elaborate pneumatics test with Mindstorms. He'd probably tell you to create a car that housed the RIS and hook the rotation sensor up to a wheel that rested on the track. Then you could keep (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

Re: Haunted Houses- I need graphics

(...) Unfortunatly portions of your plot aren't of a 'family' nature- but the architecture of the house looks good! (...) I would welcome further input.- After all at the moment it looks like I'll have to build something of Haunted House myself. (...) Thanks, and who said about attaching a train? This is a countryside scence!! Just some Town and Paradisa Sets put on a tabletop and arranged to be abit spread apart. I think my comment on saying i'm using my Model Railroading Skills kinda threw you (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

(...) It sits by the front door. Four pieces. (URL) The 2 orange pieces are from the Mos Espa Pos Race set. They're linked together by a technic half pin and topped with a round black plate.   Re: Monorail Max Mileage?

(...) I...yes, I'm going to tell a story, I used to be into monorails ever since I was a little kid. I got to ride on the one in Seatle when I was eight. I thought it was awesome, so when the Futuron monorail came out, I HAD to have it. It's still (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Announcing: Mini Gardens pics

(...) Thanks guys, glad you like it. As for me, this is the last time I try building on an incline! The rise is 1 plate per stud, and I have a staircase of black 6x12 plates overlapping by 1, with 4 plates in between making the step up. It takes 6 (...) (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Monorail Max Mileage?

(...) Urrp, I misspoke. Not quite -- not the way the monorail engine reverses direction. It depends which way you place the engine onto the track -- the gold teeth on the motor on one side or the other of the rail. --Todd (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Monorail Max Mileage?

  Re: I need some advice....

(...) Monorail motors, however, use battery. My monorail motors have been running strong since 1993 and 1996. As the battery is used up more, than power weakens, but when you put in a new battery, its back to full speed. No idea on the speed though. (25 years ago, 10-Mar-00, to lugnet.town)
