Neat Ideas...
I thought the
was a bit weak on its own. It was a nice set, but didn’t have any companions
sets, really to increase the fun.
I thought the
station itself had some good concepts, but still had some negative attributes
(like it being open at the bottom, where as the other stations had a wall in
the front. I really didn’t care a whole lot for the “SUV” included in that
set, or the inclusion of the helicopter that LEGO insisted on using for
most fire station sets.
What I liked the best was the tender included in the set, though it was a
bit weak to be fighting fires in an airport setting.
So if Lego did do an airport FD “theme” trucks that could be intigrated in
the rest of town (or go decent to its other fire dept. sets) and could be
robust enough to handle all the necessary tasks it needs to do.
Just my opinions regarding this...though some great thoughts already
put out!

You could have the airport firetrucks, training area (old aircraft the set
fire to) etc.

Interesting idea. Might make for a nice play set, but with the possibility of
some realism too.

This could nicely tie the theme in to a future new airport range.

Keeping in mind the constraints LEGO would be enforcing on the sets...
