Last weekend my dam was part of the GATS show. I was it's first showing. I took
some pictures of the dam detached from the rest of the layout, and put them up
on brickshelf:

During construction, I kept in contact with Mike Gallagher, who build the large
suspension bridge, seen in the frst two pictures in the folder (copied from the
folder of J. Bucy, I forgot to take enough pics during the show). For the next
show, we will finish the monorail tunnels, and connect more track, so extend the
loop to become a functional subway.

The flat surface of the dam is constructed with ~5400 1x2 light grey bricks.
This sheet-o-bricks can be flexed to give it its curvature (both left-to-right,
and up-and-down. It is not connected, but build into the support of the back and
side walls. The top part with the railing simply rests on it.
The structure behing the rock's and dam's surface is mainly stacks of 2x2's, and
soccer field sections (cost effective).

The powerstation is "functional", with some moveable pump parts and blinking
lights in the control center.

I have to do some more detailing, and am open for
suggestions/comments/improvements.
