Here is the updated page for my city:
http://members.home.net/hmltn1/topia/topia.htm

I've go to say, that is probably the best city layout I've ever seen.
Everything is so asthetically pleasing.  Plus your pictures come out so
vibrant.  Do you have any general rules of color or archetecture you try • to
follow?

Felix

Thanks!

The nice pictures are thanks to my Olympus D490 Digital Camera and the
excellent touch-up software included with it.

As far as color schemes go, I usually use one primary color with another,
complimentary color as trim.  Then, I may put various ornaments on it of a
third or fourth color, but this is usually a very small percentage of the
bricks or it starts to look gaudy.

As far as rules of architecture, I like to mix together various different
architectural styles in the same building.  I'm a big fan of various
classical styles including Gothic, and Baroque.  I also like modern styles
like "Art Deco" (now a bit dated, but still of this century).  Usually, the
"mix" of styles comes out looking relatively modern, or a bit like a
fantasy, story-book building.  I get my ideas out of art and architecture
books.  www.greatbuildings.com is also a great resource.
