I made an elevated platform that has 2 space landing plates on top of a brick frame work. I set the plates right on the studs though. Well, why don´t you raytrace the models? Use POV-Ray or try Lightwave for it. For use Lightwave, you need a converter to convert from *.DAT to *.LWO.
