I have just modified set 7632 into a larger crane. The modification basically consists of lengthening the tread wheelbase, lengthening the boom and boom lifting frame*, adding an additional lift line guide*, and additional counterweight. The boom is 6 sections longer than what comes with the set. I don’t know what that translates into either metric or imperial measurements. I didn’t pay attention to how many more track pieces I added but the running gear and side skirts were basically doubled.

I wish I had more Technic pieces and experience working with those pieces in order to solve the engineering problems I came across while building this.



Below is a comparison of the various cranes that have been released in the past couple of years to show the variety of sizes.
