One of my next projects is to combine all three lines together (along type
lines [Ski/Frost/Kopaka, etc.]) to get two, or maybe three bots out of the
combo types. Since the Throwbot line ended up with 10 small bots in the end,
and the following themes only have 6 each, I'm still undecided on how to
divide up the spoils (from the other non-aligned set types) into which types
they may blend into. Flare will go into the Torch/Lava/Tahu pile, but I'm
uncertain where Turbo actually fits in.

Turbo has a lot of teal on him, right?  Maybe Amazon/Swamp/Lewa.  You could
also throw him in with Electro/Spark and go with the CyberSlam color scheme.
On the other hand, Onyx/Onua will probably have a serious part shortage...

There is also a huge color disparity
from Electo and Spark to Power, with no real crossover into the Bionical
line.

Well, the problem here is the name is throwing you off.  Power's name
implies the "electricity" connection to Electro and Spark, but if you look
at him he's really more related to Jet and Blaster.  In fact, if you look at
the background to his package photo, it looks remarkably like it used to be
Jet's domain.  I'm sure Blaster's presence will more than make up for the
lack of a Bionicle descendant.

Pohatu causes a problem, too, as his main color is brown, which is found on
no Throwbots and no RoboRiders.  Naturally the tan puts him with Granite and
Dust, but the brown still might be a bit hard to handle.

The hard part, of course, will be placing Millennia.

I'm undecided as of yet on how I will proceed, but I'm certain the
result will be if nothing else, interesting.
I'm hoping others will do the same as I, and come up with some interesting
combos.

Ooh, don't worry.  As soon as I get bored with Kopaka, his parts will be
lying in a pile in my bedroom, along with those of Frost and Ski.  And once
I manage to get my hands on some more of all three lines (there are still
Throwbots on the shelves in some stores around here), I'll do more.

And of course, I intend to bring my 'Drill-bots' and my choice of
combos to Brickfest, so if nothing else they will be seen in detail soon.

And I KNOW somebody will be considerate and take pictures of Brickfest for
the benefit of those of us who can't leave town without their "anything in
real life arranged with people you know only online will result in you being
murdered six times and then kidnapped twice all in the same night" parents.
Not that there's a problem with being safe, but I consider the risk in going
to Brickfest approximately the same as the risk in going to school--possibly
even less, considering the climb in school violence.

(...) I agree. These "action figure" seem to thrive on psuedo re-makes of past lines. The Throwbots, though interesting, were completely inadequate as action figures. The Bionicals are the closest things to that end. Initially, when Throwbots came (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.roboriders, lugnet.technic.slizer)
