***WARNING*CAUTION*DANGER***
Really obvious idea follows...may hurt your head!
First of all...I couldn't care less about Tomb Raider. I just want to get
that out of the way. But, with the premeire of the movie tonight, and the
mass release next week, I'm being innundated with Lara Croft on TV, the Web,
in print, and even at Taco Bell...and I thought of something that LEGO
SHOULD have thought of months ago.
In some part of the movie (I'll never know where) the buxom Lara does battle
with a large robot. Now I've only seen a bit here and there, but this robot
looks amazingly similar to...(drum roll please)...a Bionicle Toa (Onua in my
mind...Onua with four arms, but Onua none the less)!
Talk about probuct placement opportunity missed! What AFOL wouldn't give
Timmy's right arm to see a LEGO product placed in such a way? I know LEGO is
going to do some product placement with the line...they even say so on the
web site. But COME ON! This one is obvious!

| (...) I'll be seeing this some time, I'll let you know how it looks. You may recall that the visual design for Time Bandits included, if not actual LEGO, some interlocking construction toy, at key moments. (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)
