I drew this Mata Nui mask based on the original oval-stone look from 2001. The
mask is drawn within a Golden rectangle & follows golden proportion. I just
wanted to see if it would look good proportionally as Mata Nui is the ‘great
spirtit’ of Bionicle, it helps establish a bit of fundamental universality to
the design (I think). I imagine the mask being a marbled white with the tan
areas being a very light tan marble or maybe gold & I like the ice/sky blue
eyes:
