From Development Hell in Issue 95 of SFX - written by Nick Setchfield
"The Military Industrial Entertainment Plaything Complex continues to
infiltrate the minds of the world's young. Miramax Pictres has teamed up with
the mighty Lego to bring the plastic pleasures of Bionicle to the screen
in computer-generated form. Launched in December 2000, this range of action
figures fuses together the folklore of assorted world cultures with hi-tech -
if easily swallowed - biomechanical engineering. In the shiny, snap-together
world of Bionicle, the mythical islands of Mata Nui are home to the Toa, six
heroes who protect the world with the help of such Christmas list faves as the
Masks of Power (batteries not included). Next month we announce Francis Ford
Coppola's Sticklebrix Now."
