Okay- 3 quick reviews based on what I saw:
8556 - Tohunga Defense Vehicle
At first appearance it doesn't look too exciting but once I realized it had dark
grey claws I took a closer look. The model is mostly dark grey and black and
contails black studless 1x15 beams. This might be the cheapest way to buy them
now. Pro: Parts wise it's quite a nice Technic bonanza given the colors in it.
Con: too many tube parts (at least 4 in a small set)
8557 - Toa Exoskeleton
Looks to be the worst of the three sets IF you are looking for playability. As a
parts pack, it's even better than 8556. Many silver flaring #5 and #6 panels,
black gali claw parts, and light grey (I hope) roborider heads included here.
Looks to have some interesting mechanics in the set.
8558 - Mother Bohrok
The largest of the sets-and the ugliest. Looks to have great playability along
the lines of Muaka and Kane-Ra. The colors work well-Black, red, dark grey,
silver. Probably unbelievably great as a parts pack-a mecha builders must have
kit. Standout parts-MANY 1x15 studless beams, dino fins in dark grey, a new
gear, and what looks to be a new joint system for the legs. Easily the kit I
want of all the ones listed.
Just my $.02.
