There are no readily visible effects, but they don't join _quite_ as tight
as the first time. Still pretty tight, though. I wouldn't recommend repeated
wrenchings. I've repeated it about a dozen times and it's approaching a
point where I can remove it by hand.
The grip is achieved (I think) by the fork-like construction of the eyes
being shoved past vertical ridges on either side of the nose inside the eye
sockets. These ridges are probably wearng down.
