Some hoover crafts use a tunnel/prop design facing backwards and direct about 1/3-rd of the air downwards to create lift, the rest is used to push the craft forward (with rudders to steer). Perhaps this can be made with LEGO? The main benefit is (...) (22 years ago, 6-Feb-03, to lugnet.technic)

There is another person building an airplane wing using a Technic framework (I think axels and flex hoses) wrapped in a plastic sheet of some sort that is shrunk (...) (...) I may sound silly. Since you ask... I am trying to build a helicopter that will be powered by a pneumatic engine. That is way it needs to be large. In many ways it was a pre-technic set (I think there was no Technic theme back in 1976) with axles, motor, (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.general, lugnet.technic)
